CRITERION GAMES

Front End Presentation - essentially, the dashboard to the game - is complicated, very subjective, and key to a person's experience as he or she navigates through a game. Whether buttons, maps, post-event movies or select screens, these elements exist to intuitively guide you through the game and interact with the actual gameplay as seamlessly as possible.

As you can guess, the presentation artwork for Burnout Revenge went through many rounds of revision as it evolved into its final state.

In this series, we find out from Roger, our lead presentation artist, about the making of the front end for Burnout Revenge on PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360 platforms.

By showing you exclusive artwork that never made it into the game, he'll illustrate how and why the final version came about.
