Paradise City is packed with things to keep you occupied.
See a Burnout billboard or a yellow barrier (Smash Thru) and you can smash through it!
Land a Super Jump to add it to your collection.
There are literally hundreds of these objects to find. Exploring to find them will help you get to know Paradise City.
Getting to know the city makes Burnout Paradise much easier and gives you a tactical advantage in many of our game modes.
Smash Gates
There are 400 Smash Gates scattered throughout Paradise City - that's between 50 and 90 per neighbourhood. Palm Bay Heights has 50, Downtown Paradise 80, Harbor Town 90, White Mountain 90 and Silver Lake 90.
The gates are easy to spot - they're covered in yellow hazard signs. Smash any part of a gate to "find" it. Your total gates are displayed in the "Discovery" section of the "Driver Details" menu. You can access it from the game by pressing START.

Billboards
Look out for the Burnout billboards all over town. They're the bright red ones. There are 120 to collect. (Palm Bay Heights has 20, Downtown Paradise 30, Harbor Town 25, White Mountain 25, Silver Lake 20).
Some require that you hit a simple ramp, but others are a little trickier to reach. You can move the camera using the right analogue stick to look around and work out how to jump across to hard-to-reach billboards.

Drive-thru gas stations for an instant boost refill. There are 14 to find.
Junkyards
When you unlock a new car or motorcycle in Burnout Paradise, it's delivered to the Junkyard.
You can access your cars from any of 5 Junkyards across Paradise City. Each one contains your car collection - just drive in to view, assess performance and switch cars, bikes and select paintwork.

Paint Shops
Drive-thu a Paint Shop to instantly change your paint-job.
