Paradise City is a vast location, loaded with gameplay.

Playing through Burnout Paradise's immense progression will take you on an amazing tour of every part of the city.

All of Burnout's car-based game modes are accessed through this massive open-world environment. We don't interrupt play with a lot of boring menus and lists - just pull up to a set of lights and hit the triggers to start an event.

You're free to explore and complete any of our activities at your own pace. Discover Showtime, Stunt Run, Road Rules, Marked Man, Burning Route, Midnight Ride and much, much more.

You'll get to know every street and alleyway of the 6 Boroughs of Paradise City.

Burnout Paradise also seamlessly connects online players and introduces a new lobby mode - Freeburn - where up-to-8 players can hang out and collaborate to complete hundreds of fun challenges.

The 6 Boroughs of Paradise

Downtown Paradise

Downtown is the heart of Paradise City - a grid of streets intersected by the Interstate 88 and an elevated train track - The L-Train. Explore, and you'll find a rabbit-warren of jumps, shortcuts and underground routes threading you through The Shopping Mall, Paradise Park, The Wildcats Baseball Stadium, 3 car parks and The Construction Yard. You'll also find the huge half-built suspension bridge, that will eventually connect Downtown Paradise with Big Surf Island.

White Mountain

White Mountain is a huge, hillside area featuring the kind of long-curving, drift-friendly roads long-time Burnout-fans will adore. The area is also home to The Quarry, an open-quarry filled with jumps, tunnels, rickety bridges and open areas. Other highlights include the figure-of-8 dirt track, the huge jump past Dead Man's Curve, and the big short-cut down the cliffs of Uphill Drive.

Silver Lake

The borough known as Silver Lake forms the largest area in the game. In addition to everybody's favourite play area - The Airfield - you'll also find the dramatic steel railway bridge, race beyond Lawrence Tunnel and you can even jump to a secret island on the lake, if only you can find it!

Harbor Town

Harbor Town is where you'll find the mighty Bay Bridge, The Naval Yard and Casey Pass.

Palm Bay Heights

To the North of the city, lies Palm Bay Heights. From here, you'll regularly find online players playing on the jumps sequence around Big Surf Beach.

The Island

Big Surf Island will be available to download as part of a future content pack. It will be accessed via the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace
