Team Up And Take Down Paradise Together

More social. More accessible. More fun.

FUN, SOCIAL, MULTIPLAYER BIKE IMAGE

With Burnout Paradise, our biggest challenge was to truly embrace the online connectivity of the PS3 and Xbox 360 to bring a fresh, new, social experience to Burnout fans.

We knew we had to deliver high speed thrills, incredible next-gen visuals, great cars and awesome racing, but we wanted to go further than ever before and completely reinvent Burnout for a new generation of online players.

Always Online in an Open World

At the heart of that transformation was an open world environment. Paradise City delivers total freedom - cruise the streets at your own pace and just rev your engine at lights to trigger the action.

And you're always online. In Burnout Paradise, you switch seamlessly from single-player to online play sessions using the Easydrive menu without interrupting play.

Easydrive

Our goal from Day 1 was to create the fastest and simplest system for meeting your friends in any online game. Just hit the d-pad to open the menu and join your friends or invite them to your session. Easy.

Mugshots

We love the cameras on PS3 and Xbox 360, and we wanted to use them online to bring our players closer together. Cause another player to crash in Paradise City, and the game takes an instant snapshot of them. It's called a Mugshot, and it's a great chance to meet your online friends and watch them acting up for the camera!

Freeburn Challenges

We've played online games for many years now. We've always enjoyed intense online competition, but with Burnout Paradise we wanted to create a an online experience for everyone else!

Many players just don't have the time to invest honing their skills to perfection.

We delivered a tight online ranked racing system to satisfy our most competitive players, and for everyone else we introduced Freeburn Challenges.

MORE SOCIAL SCREENSHOTS

There are now 490 challenges to be completed collaboratively in teams of up to 8 and more to come.

And with over 90% of the players' time in the game spent Freeburning, we now know it's a the runaway hit feature. This is by far the most popular part of the game!

Multi-part, multi-thread Freeburn Challenges

People enjoy Freeburn Challenges, so we're making them even better.

As part of our recent FREE software update "Codename Cagney", we built another 70 with greater depth and introduced online leaderboards.

This means that you can collaborate with your friends and compete online in challenges.

And, with the FREE Bikes Pack that launched in September, we added 70 more.
