Burnout Paradise is set in an open world called Paradise City that's packed with car-based action. It's the perfect place to hang out with your friends. You can seamlessly connect to their games, choose from 4 great online game modes or take on 490 challenges together.
And most important of all - Burnout Paradise was transformed through 12 months of amazing downloadable content called "The Year of Paradise". The year started with our free Cagney and Burnout Bikes packs and was followed by PS3 Trophy support, the Party Pack, Legendary Cars, Toy Cars, Boost Specials, Cops and Robbers and Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island!

Freeburn is Burnout's uninterrupted drop-in / drop-out online play. It's a fun, collaborative experience - more about making new friends than developing fierce rivalries with strangers. You can just play around in vehicles: racing, pulling tricks and crashing in our massive open world city. You can enter Freeburn without interrupting gameplay and either invite your friends or join an existing Freeburn Online game.
In addition to Freeburn Online there are 4 online game modes - Road Rage, Marked Man, Stunt Run and Race. There's never been more to play online. Burnout's Easydrive menu brings you together with your friends without ever interrupting your game.
Paradise City is a vast, open world location, packed with gameplay. Pull up at any set of lights and rev your engine to trigger an event. Playing through Burnout Paradise's immense progression will take you on a full tour of the city's 6 Boroughs.
Events are the staple of your progression through Burnout Paradise's sprawling gameplay. Just pull up at any set of traffic lights in the city and gun your engine to spin the wheels, and you'll trigger either Road Rage, Marked Man, Race, Burning Route or Stunt Run events. Choose a motorcycle, and you\'ll access Burning Rides and Midnight Rides.
Paradise City is packed with things to keep you occupied. See a Burnout billboard or a yellow barrier (Smash Thru) and you can smash through it! Land a Super Jump to add it to your collection. There are literally hundreds of these objects to find.
Road Rules offer up a grand total of 128 events. Each road in the game has a Record Time and a Showtime Score to beat. To beat the time, hit the gas and blast the entire length of the road as fast as you can. To beat the Showtime score, hit the triggers together to fire off Showtime and start the crash. Steer your wrecking car into as much traffic as you can to earn dollar damage. Beat the time and showtime score to "own" the road.
