Bogart is alive!
Troubleshooting: PlayStation 3 Discovery Map

A number of mails to the mailbag this weekend about how to get the EXPORT file from your save game for the PlayStation 3 Discovery Map feature on the My Paradise Page.

There are two things you need:

1. You need to have the Bogart update installed (to check whether or not you have it - read this post.)

2. You need to perform a MANUAL SAVE from the UNDER THE HOOD MENU:

Performing a Manual Save in Burnout Paradise

The manual save will create the EXPORT file you need in your Burnout Paradise save game folder.

Then, follow the instructions on the PlayStation 3 Discovery Map page.

Troubleshooting: Have I got Bogart?

A few mails to the mailbag this weekend from players unsure about how to get the Bogart update or how to check if they have it.

Here's the answer:

To get the Bogart update - make sure that you're logged into the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live and load up Burnout Paradise - the Bogart Update should be downloaded automatically.

To check that you have it - hit START, go to PARADISE CITY LIVE!, select VIEW CHALLENGES - the number of challenges completed will be displayed at the top of the list of challenges (this is a new feature that was added with the Bogart update.):

PLAYSTATION ® 3 Paradise players get all the love!

Having trouble finding everything in the game? Well now, we're just making it too easy!

We've never spoken about this secret Bogart feature before, although we did drop a hint when we brought you the Superjumps guide.

And our friend Trevor over at www.senocular.com produced this superb interactive Flash guide to the game. Hit this link to head over there and check it out.

But if all that support's not enough to get you to 101%, completion is now within your grasp thanks to our latest feature: the Burnout Paradise Save Game Analyser!

Here's how it works:

PS3 players with the recently-released Bogart software update will be able to import their save game via USB drive or Memory Stick and analyse it on criteriongames.com!

Based on that, we create an interactive map that allows you to view the location of all incomplete discoverables. That includes Jumps, Smashes, Billboards, Junkyards, Body Shops, Paint Shops, Gas Stations and Car Parks.

Our technicians are just putting the final touches to this feature – we expect it to go live imminently!

Bogart Update - Xbox 360 Latest

To all you Xbox 360 players out there - a quick update.

There were frame rate issues in the initial version of the Bogart update for Xbox 360 released last week.

Because of this, we rolled back the XboX 360 version on Saturday. This means that anyone that has been online since Saturday will have had 'Bogart' removed from their machine.

The new version of Bogart that fixes the frame rate issues is currently in submission with Microsoft in preparation for a new roll out.

We will post again as soon as more information becomes available.

Burnout Paradise Software update codenamed "Bogart" is live on PS3

The "Bogart" update is now working on PS3.

You'll get automatically updated, if you start the game, while logged in to the Playstation Network.

And if you're having problems with frame rate on Xbox 360, we have confirmation of the first part of our fix.

We'll reverse the Xbox 360 update from tomorrow and aim to bring you a version with the fix in place by the end of next week.

Again, we apologise to anyone affected by this issue. Nothing is more important to us than the quality of your Burnout experience and we've been working round the clock to resolve this.

A big thanks from the team to our community for raising this issue quickly and supporting us, while we address it.

Bogart 360 latest news

We've found a solution to the frame rate issue affecting some Xbox 360 users with the recently released Bogart software update.

We aim to recall the affected update from all 360s by this Friday.

We'll replace this with a revised update containing a fix for the frame rate issue. This should be with you in around a week's time - by 2nd May.

We'll confirm solid dates as soon as we have them.

Apologies for the inconvenience...we'll keep you posted if anything changes.

Bogart software update Xbox 360 – latest

Still no concrete dates for our solution to the framerate issue affecting some Xbox 360 players with the recently deployed Bogart update.

West coast USA is now awake, and we're working closely with Microsoft to see how quickly we can resolve this hard disk streaming issue.

We're extremely proud that Burnout has always run at a fluid 60 frames per second. Very few games have achieved this level of blistering performance on 360 and PS3.

We feel the speed of the experience demands a lightning fast frame rate, and the glitching in the recent update is unacceptable to us. We're doing everything we can to resolve this as quickly as possible.

We'll post again as soon as there is progress to report. We appreciate your patience.
