If you're new to Burnout Paradise, this is the part of the game where you just hang out in Paradise City, meet up with groups of up to 8 at a time to complete simple challenges – drift over a mile, jump over each other, flat-spin 360 degrees, drive 2000yds oncoming simultaneously, barrel-roll through the aircraft fuselage in the airfield.
And we know our fans love this, too. The Paradise City officials report that you guys are spending all your time in Freeburn! We're also starting to see forum threads from fans inventing their own challenges. Here's a post in recognition of those guys!
Check out these great shots from loganthedog, who got together with some Paradise City regulars in the PCPD and Hunter Citizen cop cars on a little stake-out!

…and here's something similarly awesome featuring a line-up of the Nakamura cars in front of the Nakamura Motor Works in Harbour Town:

Burnout Paradise features 350 Freeburn Challenges and the upcoming Cagney update brings you a further 70. The big change with Cagney is we're introducing a leaderboard per challenge, so you can go back and become the best. They're also now multi-part and timed for added depth! You race to a meeting up, then rush to complete an activity somewhere else and rendez-vous at the finish point. Watch out for more videos of our Cagney challenges this week.
A number of mails to the mailbag this weekend about how to get the EXPORT file from your save game for the PlayStation 3 Discovery Map feature on the My Paradise Page.
There are two things you need:
1. You need to have the Bogart update installed (to check whether or not you have it - read this post.)
2. You need to perform a MANUAL SAVE from the UNDER THE HOOD MENU:

The manual save will create the EXPORT file you need in your Burnout Paradise save game folder.
Then, follow the instructions on the PlayStation 3 Discovery Map page.
A few mails to the mailbag this weekend from players unsure about how to get the Bogart update or how to check if they have it.
Here's the answer:
To get the Bogart update - make sure that you're logged into the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live and load up Burnout Paradise - the Bogart Update should be downloaded automatically.
To check that you have it - hit START, go to PARADISE CITY LIVE!, select VIEW CHALLENGES - the number of challenges completed will be displayed at the top of the list of challenges (this is a new feature that was added with the Bogart update.):
