At 00:00hrs GMT SargeSullivan took time out from his busy schedule of shouting, marching and performing military grade Stunt Run combos to share his all time favourite playlist with us.

Here's what he had to say.

"When the Sarge is rolling, the battle hat is on and the volume is turned up to 11. As my good friend Vasquez once said. Let's Rock"

Ride of the Valkyries - Richard Wagner
"People look to the skies when they hear this and know the Sarge is on his way. He doesn't need a helicopter to fly, just a fast car"

Nineteen - Paul Hardcastle
"Sarge is Nineteen every day of the week. Nineteen million Stunt Run points"

Camouflage - Stan Ridgway
"Stan is obviously forgetting his basic training here. Sarge's weapon never jams"

Dangerzone - Kenny Loggins
"Some say this track was made famous because of some movie. Actually it was written while Kenny Loggins was in Sarge's trunk during a road rage"

Two Tribes - Frankie goes to Hollywood
"I like this but have made my own version with the Lyrics; When two tribes go to war, mega points are all I score… Looking for a Billboard"

Love Missile F1-11 - Sigue Sigue Sputnik
"Shoot it up. I need say no more"

That's it for now Troops. Get your maggot ears around these tracks and drive hard.

Dismissed.

Lots of questions through from our new PC players, here's a quick Q&A.

We'll keep adding to this with responses to popular questions, so keep 'em coming.

Just mail us at mailbag@criteriongames.com.

Restart an Event

The ‘Restart Event’ option can be found in the Easy-Drive menus.

There are 4 controls used to navigate Easy-Drive, by default these are the num-pad arrow keys (8 - up, 2 - down, 4 - left, 6 - right) or a gamepads d-pad.

1.    Push right while driving to open the Easy-Drive
2.    Select ‘Restart Event’

Exit the Game

The ‘Exit’ game option can be found at the bottom of the ‘Under the Hood’ screen.

1.    Press Esc while driving to bring up the ‘Drivers Details’ screen.
2.    Press F1 or F2 until you see the ‘Under the Hood’ screen.
3.    Select ‘Save and Exit’ at the bottom of the list.

Setup a Controller

The game will allow you to use any controller that Windows detects (all DirectInput and XInput controllers are supported).

If your controller has not automatically been detected and configured then you need to go to the ‘Control Options’ screen.

1.    Press Esc while driving to bring up the ‘Drivers Details’ screen.
2.    Press F1 or F2 until you see the ‘Under the Hood’ screen.
3.    Select ‘Control Options’
4.    Select an action (Steer Left, Steer Right…) and assign a controller input.

If your controller name is shown in the top right of the ‘Control Options’ screen you might want to select it and see if there are any default controls already setup.

Server Unavailable

There are times when we need to undertake server maintenance, which means for a brief period our servers will be unavailable.

However if you have tried to connect to our servers on several different days and all you see is ‘Server not available check back later’ please send an email to mailbag@criteriongames.com with the following information;
o    IP address
o    EA Account
o    e-mail address
o    persona
o    Time of log in attempt

Thank you for your help and patience.

Use a Camera

Your USB camera should automatically be detected and available for use. However if this is not the case the easiest way to setup your camera is to run the ‘BurnoutConfigTool’ which can be found in the folder where you installed the game.

License Picture

If you have a USB camera connected you can take a new picture for your License at any time by going to the ‘Driver Details’ screen and pressing 2 (default keyboard control).

Every time you win an event you will also be given the option to replace your License picture.

Configure Multiple Monitors

The game does not enable extra monitors it does however support very wide resolutions and aspect ratios. The game also allows you to configure the placement of the HUD and Car.

For the game to be output to 2 screens you can use an NVIDIA cards that is configured to run in horizontal span (run the NVIDAI Control Panel to change the display mode).

If you want 2 screens on ATI or 3 screens on ATI or NVIDIA then the easiest solution is to use the Dualhead2Go or Triplehead2Go devices from Matrox.

Play Road Rage, Marked Man, or Stunt Run online

If you are the host of an unranked game, and there is at least one other player in the room, you can start a Freeburn Game (Road Rage, Marked Man, or Stunt Run) by selecting it using the Easy-Drive menu system.

There are 4 controls used to navigate Easy-Drive, by default these are the num-pad arrow keys (8 - up, 2 - down, 4 - left, 6 - right) or a gamepads d-pad.

Push right while driving to open the Easy-Drive then use the simple menu hierarchy to select a Freeburn Game. You can then select one of the Freeburn Games; Road Rage, Marked Man, or Stunt Run.

Navigation in Paradise City

Looking at the map at high speed is not a good idea; you need to concentrate on the road ahead of you to avoid crashing.

The ‘Road Signs’ at the top of the screen will flash if you should turn left or right at the next junction. The cars indicators will also be activated.

If the road signs or indicators don’t flash then you should keep going straight.

After completing several events that end at each of the 8 Finish Points you will quickly learn the quickest and most commonly used routes.

To learn the shortcuts, which are indicated with yellow gates, try driving around the world between events. Some will definitely reduce your race times however others are a shortcut to somewhere else entirely!

In some territories our latest Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 update, Burnout Paradise v1.7 has shipped early!

Available to everyone from Thursday 19th February, this update brings the brand new Legendary cars to your in-game Burnout Store and the Burnout Junkyards. You can head over there to view them in detail, but you won't be able to buy the new cars until the PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace update on Thursday.

If you've received this patch (Update 1.70) you'll only be able to connect online with other people who also have it, so it may seem like there are less people playing today. Don't worry though - there's just a day to wait until everyone updates to the same version, and you can finally experience the new cars.
